HOW I WORK

A steady, supportive process that helps you navigate change with more clarity.

INTEGRATIVE + EXPERIENTIAL

My Approach

Integrative

No two people are alike, and many benefit from a flexible approach to therapy. I integrate evidence-based practices, from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to mindfulness-based behavioural approaches, in a way that’s tailored to you.
If you’re carrying the mental load, feeling more reactive or flat, navigating shifts in identity, or noticing unhealthy patterns in your relationships, we can slow down and explore what’s underneath - with care, honesty, and without judgment.

Experiential

We don’t just talk - we dive in. Together, we’ll pay attention to emotions as they arise in session, build awareness of patterns, and practise new ways of responding - in your relationships and within yourself.
Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s a space to understand what you’re living through, reconnect with what matters, and move forward at a pace that feels realistic.

Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I help you understand how early experiences shaped your emotions and behaviours, revealing the roots of challenges you face today.

The goals of treatment include transforming unhelpful behaviours and developing greater awareness, acceptance, expression, and regulation of emotions.

This process also supports building a clearer and more authentic expression of your personal identity, along with a deeper understanding of your relationships.

While EFT opens the door to deep emotional discovery, mindful and somatic approaches offer practical tools for coping and regulating our emotions and nervous systems.

We begin with mindful noticing, paying close attention to the ongoing flow of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.

From there, we use mindfulness techniques to help calm and regulate emotions, alongside somatic practices that increase awareness of the mind-body connection.

Creative approaches are tailored to your unique strengths and experiences. I use narrative therapy techniques to help you reframe and reauthor personal challenges, opening the door to new possibilities and perspectives.

We also engage in role plays and dialogues that give voice to inner critics and parts of yourself that may feel disowned or unheard. Artistic practices like contemplative drawing offer a gentle, reflective way to uncover insights and reduce stress, making therapy a more personal and healing journey.

My approach is trauma-informed, meaning safety and trust are always at the centre of our work together. I check in regularly, go at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and encourage you to share what works or doesn’t. We’ll move through the process in a collaborative way that gives you control and choice.

We’ll pay close attention to how trauma can shape your nervous system, sense of identity, and the ways you relate to others. We’ll notice these patterns together and explore new ways of responding, using compassion and care to help you build confidence and greater self-understanding.
